Kids Educational Gaming – It’s the Future

Just wanted to go off the average topic a bit to introduce a website my children’s daycare actually introduced me to. I’ve been looking online for some games for my boy Tokorangi (4) to play, without turning his brain to mush. He already sneaks his dad’s and my phones away to play games on them (and quite frequently downloads some others too… Grrr). Lets face it, these kids today are VERY smart with technology. There are some daycare (kindergartens) with a computer (or few), then when they start primary school, they have them there too.

ANYWAY. One day I checked my boy’s ‘pocket’, to find a flyer. When I signed onto the site, my boy tells me ‘Hey mum! That’s the games we have at our kura!” (kura (koo rrrah) = maori for ‘school’) It teaches them absolute basics. From practicing co-ordination with the mouse, to putting shapes in the right place, and other activities.

So please I urge for you to go check it out! They did have a trial period going if you enter the code ‘DUQAY‘, hopefully it’s still running. It’s definitely worth it!  I will point out, I’m purely recommending the site and do not have any ownership with it. Have fun…

Kyani Downunder Underway – Faith Hurst

It’s been absolutely amazing our fanpage on facebook has been getting a few likes a day, but of course we’d love it to keep growing.  I’ve been on a few other Kyani pages, and noticed a fair few of them have just faded into the background.  I have a feeling the admin’s have just got too busy and plain forgot about them perhaps?  Well it’s not going to happen with ours.  It’s always handy to have more than one admin on it, so if I can’t update posts someone else can.

Still can’t wait for the Expo in April!  Would be absolutely brilliant if our fanpage ‘fans’ interact more with us.  Oh well, will try get more posts out so hopefully they don’t forget about us lol.  Would love to see some people at the Expo aswell.

I think I’ll go to the doctors and get some bloods done tomorrow before it gets too hot.  I’ve been taking the products for about 3 weeks now, so be interesting to see any changes.  I’ve had one of my friends actually come to me and praise the Nitro FX.  She’s still a bit of a sceptic, but can’t believe how much better she was feeling after using it.

She’d had a work accident, and been in absolute pain for 3 months.  My partner gave her a Nitro FX just to try, and after a couple of days, she’d actually forgotten to take her pain medication, and felt like she could go for a run – she knew it would be a mistake to, but she was feeling that great.  I was just overwhelmed that we could help her.  We know how much pain she’d been in, even some days she wasn’t able to get out of bed.  Almost felt quite surreal hearing those sorts of results come from someone I know.  Felt like one of those ‘testimonials’ those people get paid to say, you know what I mean?

I’d always knew the products were good, but it wasn’t until the second day of the World Internet Summit, when I’d forgotten to take my kyani in the morning.  I was starting to doze just before lunch, but my partner brought me a packet at lunch time, and I was up and aware for the rest of the afternoon.  It was awesome.  I believe 100% in the product, and am looking forward to sharing them with others.

I’ve let the PR representative for the Expo know about our products too, so hopefully we get more customers through that.  Anyway, if you haven’t come here from our fanpage, please feel free to ‘like’ us

2012 is Happening – Health and Fitness

I can’t believe the time is drawing closer and closer.  My partner will be doing his ‘thang’ at the Health and Fitness Expo in Sydney in April.  It’s coming up so fast, and I haven’t booked the plane tickets yet (eek!).  I wish I could join him, but someone has to look after the rugrats.  I will however do what I can to help him out, get to where he needs to be.

What is he promoting you ask?

Our newer business venture – Kyäni.  Yes I’m selling the products too, and we’re both using (and absolutely LOVING them).  I even uploaded a video today on how to sign up out of the U.S. (below).  Definitely needs a lot of work done with it, but at least it’s there for anyone having trouble.

The video has all the links needed, now all we need are people who’d like to get together for a conference.  A Q&A session some time around the expo.  We’re one of the first distributors in Australia (if not the first), so there is a HUGE market to tap, and we KNOW people want this product.  It’s absolutely amazing!

Please feel free to join us on facebook.  We’ll be updating the status regularly, and giving our ‘fans’ information requested on the products, events, etc.  Hope to see you there :D

World Internet Summit – How to Make Passive Income Online

Brett McFall - Founder of World Internet Summit

Last weekend I have to say was absolutely amazing!  My partner started apologising on Wednesday, a day before my birthday, saying he hadn’t got me anything.  I turned to him and said, “What are you talking about?  I’m going to the World Internet Summit, and you’re gonna watch the kids.”  He had absolutely no objections to that ‘deal’.  He didn’t realise he’d drawn the short straw with that (he he).  None the less, it was most definitely the best birthday present I’ve had in a very long time.

Tom Hua - One of the Masterminds behind WIS

A 5.30am start to the day Thursday 9th February, to get the boys to daycare by 6.30am.  My partner was absolutely lovely, and called his work to have the day off, so we could spend my birthday together.  Most definitely made the day that much more special.  Even though he had to leave after lunch, we had an awesome time together.  Listening to founders of the World Internet Summit Brett McFall, and most certainly the story of Tom Hua, would make anyone inspired.

4 days well spent.  Handy tips on how to earn money online from experts who are already making their thousands (millions).  I knew there were many ways to do it, but had no idea the range.  From selling ebooks to selling items on ebay.  It was very informative indeed.  Everyone was pumped, and ready to start earning those dollars.  I know for a fact there are other ways, but what these experts go over are the more lucrative, stable forms of income online.

Of course the weekend wasn’t only about the education (although that was most certainly the main reason).  It was an awesome opportunity to meet people.  To network, and even a chance to find some Joint Venture partners if that were the way you wished to profit.  I only met a few people, but that was mainly due to the fact I’m shy offline.  It was good to meet a facebook friend of mine, Adam.  He commented that he hadn’t met anyone off facebook, and I believe the same poses true for myself.  Most certainly a new, and good experience.  I even got to shake hands with the millionaires that took the stage, which was awesome.

Speakers of the World Internet Summit - Melbourne 2012

I would most certainly recommend everyone to go to any live event.  The atmosphere is amazing, and having like minded people surrounding you will give you a ‘boost’ to get things done.  As a lot of us know, there are many ‘negatives’ in our lives (people not believing in you), and live events are a nice change.  With the motivation gained from the weekend, I’ve already started writing an ebook.  This time I’m going to finish it, and get it out there.

Looking for Motivation – Faith Hurst

Just a quick note today. After an exhilarating 4 days at an event while my man was looking after the kids, come home to… well you could only imagine. So instead of using all this energy on creating products to sell online, I’ve had to use it on attempting to get the house back in working order. Oh well no worries. I’ve got some notes written for my next blog, and hope to get it up tomorrow. Apologies for the delay.

New Beginnings – Faith Hurst

Exciting week for sure!  My oldest boy Tokorangi started swimming back and started karate (and loved it).  My little man Kauri is going to daycare for two days instead of one, and is transitioning to the next room (for older children) two months before he turns 3.  So talented :D

Just one more week or so before I can start working out.  That is more than just my daily walk.  My baby is currently almost 6 weeks.  *YAY*  I’ll definitely be pulling out the Zumba DVDs.  Kauri absolutely loves doing them with me (or at least being his normal crazy self), and even Tokorangi will have a go.

On the nutrition front, I’ve gone to the doctors today to get some bloods done.  Why you ask?  During my pregnancy with Taranga, I was low in iron, and Vitamin D.  I want to make sure those levels are back in check, and I want to see where I’m at before I start using my Kyäni products.  My partner has already started using them, and definitely been feeling them working.  He’s been out handing out some trial packs to people, and we’ll be getting their thoughts on the product in the next week.  Can’t wait!  For everyone we’ve met, who are using the product, they’ve got nothing but praise for it.

Can’t believe it’s my birthday soon!  Great timing that an Internet Marketing seminar starts on it, so I’m going and excited about it.  Whoop Whoop!  What more can I say?

Well I’m falling asleep at the computer so I’ll leave it there.  Will keep you updated on the results on the bloods, and the product reviews.  Good night all, and look after each other!

Online Sale – Faith Hurst

Well I have to say all this positive thought is definitely working!  What a surprise (and very pleasent one at that) to find an email in my inbox saying I’d made an online sale!  Yes I’m sure like many of you, I was suspect at first.  I too generally get spam emails saying ‘You have made a sale’ an similar.  However, when the email opened, it was actually directed at me, from a legitimate email I’m an affiliate to, and actually been hoping to receive an email from.  EXCITING!  It all checks out!  Now for the next few to come rolling in, and I’ll be jumping when this World Internet Summit comes around.  I didn’t refer any last year, but I think the fact my partner went to that one, and we know it’s worth going to, may give us the upper hand.

So that in mind, and me still buzzing, I would like to share this fantastic picture my friend Chris took this evening.  May my good luck rub onto you :D

Busy Year – Faith Hurst

Wow a lot happening this year I must say!  My oldest starts preschool (kinder here), first year for karate, and another year of swimming.  My other boy starts swimming this year, and my girl, well starts her life.  My partner is going to be finishing his course (finally), and I am going to be doing karate with my boy, and hopefully playing soccer this winter.  On top of all, we’ve got some awesome products to sell, so I need to get my site UPDATED and put out there!

So everything is going to be very busy busy.  Of course we’re still going to be fitting in (other) family into our regime.  Birthdays, random visits.  It’s always good to keep our children in touch with their cousins.  When we get enough money, a trip to New Zealand to introduce the new edition to her grandparents is definitely in the cards.  Oh yes, looking forward to seeing my mentor early this year too!  Very exciting!

How is your year planned?

2012 is OUR Year – Faith Hurst

2012 here already? WOW is all I have to say.  I can’t believe I’ve just spent pretty much an entire year playing games instead of getting out there and ‘making it’.  I have to say my last years resolution actually worked out pretty well, and the ‘nesting’ during my pregnancy helped with that also.  Now I’m just going to make it official.  I’ve decided to make 2012 MY year.  I’d love to follow my friends I’ve met, and give them support in making it too.  Just WATCH ME.

Something happened that made me, well not the happiest to be honest.  But instead of making me angry, I decided to think ‘It’s been done, need to move on, not let it get me down, but use it as part of my motivation’.  That is exactly what I intend to do.

Step 1: Revive my Blog… as you can see, we need to start somewhere and I’ve decided that this is definitely the way to go.  I need to reach out, and hopefully I can get my new found (and old) friends to reach back.  I’m all for group support.  We can push each other, motivate, and succeed.  After I’ve posted this, I’m going to write a plan.  Both long term and short term.  The last step, but most important, I’m going to DO IT.

I’d love for you to follow my lead.  If you feel that 2011 was a bit ‘ho hum’, and you want 2012 to be your year too, feel free to email me, or comment here.  If you have facebook, come join me, leave a comment!  I would love to hear from you :D

Lets DO IT 2012 Guys and Girls!

Oh and just a small note.  Welcome to the world my lil girl Taranga.  My bubbas are definitely a huge motivation.  Mum and Dad gonna make it this year XOX

Happy Mothers Day – Faith Hurst

I saw an awesome status to represent today.  No doubt it’s been used for more than one year, and hopped from facebook wall to facebook wall.

“I’ve carried a child within my body. Slept with a baby on my chest. I’ve kissed boo boo’s and mended a broken heart. I’ve been puked on, pee’d on, pooped on and spent sleepless nights in the rocking chair, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My body isn’t magazine perfect, but when I look in the mirror I see a MOM, and there is no greater honor or blessing! Post this as your status if you are proud to be a Mom”

My day started at about 5am, when I heard a light switch and couldn’t go back to sleep.  An interesting day today.  Full of mingling, negotiating landmarks, talking politics, shaking hands, taking photos with the commoners, kissing babies, whatever.  Then real life steps in!  Grrr; I must say my game playing has gone from about 5 games a day to just the one.  I’m slowly getting closer to real life responsibilities.

This afternoon was however more productive.  My partner took the oldest out, and I had snuggles with my bubba as he slept in my arms.  Then when they got back, we went out to watch part of a rugby league, before the rain started pelting down ha ha.  Saying that the ‘toddles’ were having fun playing with the other kids, including playing in wet sand, and watching some beyblade battles.

Well that’s about it from me, just got home, and now it’s dinner time.  Wish all the mothers out there a happy mothers day; whether it’s just starting, or it’s drawing a close.
